After missing five weeks of tennis due to an injury, Emma Raducanu is resolute that she is now prepared to dedicate herself to her fitness, reconnect with her family, and resume her old aspirations.

She will play again for Team Great Britain at the Billie Jean King Cup in Malaga after a respectable season in which Raducanu moved her ranking from No. 301 on January 1 to No. 58.

According to Telegraph Sport, Raducanu had been in contact with fitness trainer Yukata Nakamura. The former US Open champion subsequently confirmed this. She has considered growing her notably small and close-knit team to increase her playing time, even though she had previously been reluctant to do so.

Raducanu claims that her time off has been worthwhile and that she is confident in her ability to compete ahead of Great Britain’s first home Billie Jean King Cup finals since the competition in 2022.

Raducanu expressed her thoughts recently and said: “I think my goal next year is to stay on the court longer. This year I came in the top 60 in the world, but I barely played, I think, less than 15 events. So, I know if I am on the court and healthy and competing I can go even higher and further. I think that my athleticism is a strength of mine, but it’s nowhere near its full potential. I’m just looking forward to exploring that further, and yeah, ready to commit to doing that.”
