The day Rafael Nadal retires is drawing near. In Malaga, the Davis Cup Finals are arguably the season’s most anticipated event, and the 22-time Grand Slam champion is prepared to compete.

One of the greatest athletes of all time is getting ready to retire from professional sports and begin a new chapter in his life, one where he will be content with his lovely family.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion missed the US Open and the Laver Cup and hasn’t participated in an official competition since the Olympics in Paris.

Last month, Rafa participated in the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia, but it was merely an exhibition. According to insiders, Rafa was expected to request a wild card for one of the indoor tournaments, like the Rolex Paris Masters, but he chose not to.

The renowned journalist José Morgado revealed on his X profile that Malaga is getting ready for the arrival of the Spanish legend.

He wrote on X: “Wow! This is how the outside of one of the stadiums is looking in Málaga before the Billie Jean King and Davis Cup Finals. Lovely.”
