Even though the official tennis season is coming to an end, with players still participating in the year’s last tournaments, the exhibition events will begin in early December.
The World Tennis League is one of the most anticipated, and it will be held in Abu Dhabi from December 19 to 22. Star-studded teams have already been revealed for the tournament, guaranteeing another exciting contest.
In the World Tennis League, Stefanos Tsitsipas will join Paula Badosa, Nick Kyrgios, and Jasmine Paolini to form a formidable team.
Badosa and Paolini will play women’s doubles together, while Tsitsipas and Kyrgios will play men’s doubles. Tsitsipas and Badosa will also play together in mixed doubles as representatives of the Kites.
This exhibition tournament also features Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz, and Casper Ruud, among other well-known players.
During the grass-court season, Badosa found his form, making it to the Wimbledon final 16 and the Bad Homburg quarterfinals. Since the grass-court Grand Slam, the former world No. 2 has gone on a stellar hard-court winning streak, winning 21 of her last 26 games.
Badosa began this run by winning the WTA 500 tournament in Washington in August. Since then, she has advanced to the US Open quarterfinals, Cincinnati, Beijing, and Ningbo semi-finals.
