Jannik Sinner continued his strong run at the ATP Finals with a straight-sets victory over Taylor Fritz, 6-4, 6-4. The world No. 1 credited his solid serve and mental resilience for clinching the tough match against an aggressive Fritz.
“Today he was very aggressive, as I was prepared he’d be,” Sinner shared post-match. “I just tried to serve very good in the important moments. In the second set, I was down 0-30. If he breaks me there, the momentum could change… but I’m happy with how I handled it.”
Despite Fritz’s attempts to shift the momentum, Sinner’s consistent serve under pressure allowed him to regain control and secure the win. Now, Sinner advances with confidence, aiming to build on his momentum and add to his already impressive season at the prestigious year-end event in Turin.
