It is a good preparation. FEDERER

Roger is extremely happy to play in Perth and he thinks that this will be a very good preparation for the Australian Open.

“I remember that it was a good preparation, way back when, so I thought it would be nice to do it again,” he told the Hopman Cup. “Plus I was watching the telly this year from Brisbane and watching the great atmosphere that was at the Hopman Cup when Nick was playing, and Murray was playing, and I thought it would be cool to be part of that.

I like to play in new places, if you know how my mind works, it’s always very exciting so I can’t wait.”

Federer will pair with rising star Belinda Bencic.
