Carlos Alcaraz is becoming more and more a recognizable name, not only in tennis. The Spanish sensation became the youngest world number 1 in the ATP history after conquering the US Open title at just 19 years of age.
Carlito was elated to learn that he was named to the 2022 Time100 Next, which recognizes the most interesting rising stars around the world. Carlito was named with 4 other athletes on the list with Ja Morant (NBA), Sam Kerr and Trinity Rodman (soccer), and Erriyon Knighton (sprinter).

Now ranked no.1, Alcaraz played his last match on the 18th of September when he beat world no.121 Soon-Woo Kwon 6-4 7-6(1) in the Rubber 2 of the Davis Cup (draw).
Currently, during this year Alcaraz has an overall 52-10 win-loss record. The Spaniard has won 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and U.S. Open. Carlos reached the final in Hamburg and in Umag.
Alcaraz is scheduled to compete next in Nur-Sultan (Astana Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.
