Emma Raducanu responded to rumours that she took a bus after Porsche seized her supercar, and it’s obvious that the British tennis player thought the whole thing was absurd.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that the opulent German automaker had decided to remove the 21-year-old’s 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet from her garage. It was explained at the time that Porsche usually takes that action when they believe an ambassador is not providing value for their money.
A report that Raducanu was seen on a bus was then published over the weekend. A photo of the US Open champion from 2021 was also included.
She didn’t say anything, but the laughing and newspaper emojis that the former world No. 10 posted on her Instagram Story said it all.
The 21-year-old posted a selfie inside a Porsche with a caption shortly after the rumours that she had lost one of her supercars started to circulate. She wrote: “Like I vanished, I reappeared.”
The British tennis player is still recovering from a ligament injury, which has kept her out of action. Upon declaring her intention to skip this week’s Hong Kong Open, she said she would at least be prepared for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, which begin in Malaga on November 13.
