Rebeka Masarova is having an incredible run in Gstaad. The 16-year-old from Switzerland reaches the semifinal after beating former world no.1, Jelena Jankovic, in the 1st round.
Rebeka is currently ranked no.797, and she has honored the wild-card she has received from the organization in the best possible way. After defeating Jelena Jankovic (1-6 6-4 6-2), Rebeka commented “I feel amazing. I prepared so well mentally and physically for this. I was so happy to play this match; I knew it’d be a good experience, but I wanted to win, and I’m glad I did!”
