Carlos Alcaraz Sharpens Skills On Atp Finals Surface At Ferrero Tennis Academy

Carlos Alcaraz is gearing up for the ATP Finals in Turin, where every detail matters. To ensure the 20-year-old arrives in peak form, the renowned Ferrero Tennis Academy in Villena has taken a crucial step: it installed a GreenSet surface identical to the one used in Turin’s season-ending championships. This preparation move follows Alcaraz’s recent defeat to Ugo Humbert at the Paris-Bercy Masters, and aims to adapt the young Spaniard to the surface conditions he’ll face in the Finals.

Installed in October, the Turin-style court has already been tested by Alcaraz and his coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero. The GreenSet brand courts will also appear in Málaga for the Davis Cup’s Final 8—a tournament Alcaraz is scheduled to play after Turin. His season will conclude entirely indoors, including both the Finals and the Davis Cup, before shifting to outdoor conditions in 2025 for the Australian Open.

Alcaraz will continue his indoor streak at the Rotterdam Open in February. Currently, he holds a 23-10 indoor match record, showcasing his adaptability as he builds experience on every surface.
