Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas and Spanish sensation Paula Badosa recently shared insights into their high-profile relationship, describing it as “love at first sight” in a joint interview with “Hola”. The pair, who first went public with their relationship last season, briefly separated earlier this year but quickly reconciled. Their connection, celebrated widely by fans, developed in a unique way.
Tsitsipas recalled being “mesmerized” when he saw Badosa playing at the Australian Open in 2020. Despite crossing paths only a few times before meeting formally, Tsitsipas felt an instant connection, convinced that “one day we will be together.”
While Tsitsipas has been a top competitor on the men’s circuit, Badosa faced significant hurdles in her career. After reaching the world No. 2 ranking in early 2022, her progress was interrupted by form struggles and a severe back injury. Reflecting on a period when her future in tennis looked uncertain, Badosa revealed that meeting Tsitsipas brought her much-needed “happiness, support, and fresh air.”
“Stef came into my life during one of my darkest times,” she shared, describing his presence as a “light” in her life when she needed it most. Their partnership has grown stronger as they both continue to pursue their careers, balancing the demands of tennis with their bond off-court.
