Plans to construct three new padel tennis courts have been submitted by Lady Heyes Camping and Caravan Site on Kingsley Road in Northwich. Each of the proposed courts will be 10 m by 20 m, with a synthetic turf playing surface encircled by mesh and glass panels.

Padel tennis, a rapidly expanding racquet sport that is frequently played in doubles, blends aspects of squash and tennis. The ball can bounce off the metal mesh or glass walls of the enclosed court. Padel tennis, which originated in Mexico, has become well-known all over the world.

The proposed use is in line with the land’s current outdoor recreational usage, according to the planning statement that was submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council. The goal of the initiative is to maintain the Green Belt’s openness without constructing any new structures. The project also calls for the provision of ten visitor parking spots.
