The Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor, Mallorca, one of the world’s premier tennis training centers, suffered significant flood damage after a powerful storm struck parts of Spain. Photos shared by the academy’s social media show the state-of-the-art facility underwater, with courts and training grounds heavily impacted. The academy, established in 2016 by tennis legend Rafael Nadal, is renowned for its cutting-edge training programs and dedicated coaches, many of whom have supported Nadal throughout his career.

The academy’s team expressed gratitude on social media, writing, “Thank you all for your heartfelt messages after the enormous storm… the important thing is that we’re all safe and working hard to restore normalcy at the academy.” They also extended thanks to local emergency responders and the academy’s maintenance crew for their efforts to manage the situation.

Opened as an inspiration center for budding tennis players, the academy has faced weather challenges in the past but remains committed to delivering world-class training experiences. With repair work already underway, the academy hopes to resume regular operations soon, allowing athletes and staff to return to their training routines.
