Jannik Sinner shared insight into the strategies that kept him strong throughout the grueling 2024 season, attributing his success to strategic tournament selection and meticulous preparation.
“I feel like we made some very, very good choices throughout this whole year,” Sinner reflected, acknowledging the importance of pacing his schedule to maintain peak performance. Rather than overloading on events, Sinner prioritized quality over quantity, which he believes has been “lucky” for him, allowing him to play fewer tournaments but still progress deep in each one.
Sinner, the youngest player to hold the world No. 1 spot in recent years, emphasized that his mental well-being is as critical as his physical fitness, especially with such high-stakes matches on the horizon.
“Talking about my general mental stages, it’s very fine,” he said, attributing his consistency and calmness on court to daily routines that keep him grounded. “I’m happy to be here, and obviously for me, the main event will be in Turin. Qualifying there was one of my main goals this year.”
The Italian star has found the balance between pushing his limits and preserving his stamina, learning from previous seasons that pacing himself can yield stronger, longer-lasting results.
“You know, this is for me the main event of the end of the year, and it was one goal from the beginning of the year to qualify there, so let’s see,” he added, focused on ending the season on a high note.
With a firm grip on his goals and a well-managed approach to the season, Sinner enters Paris with both optimism and preparation on his side, eager to add one more significant title to his 2024 run before closing out the season in Italy.
