Canadian tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime has withdrawn from the Rolex Paris Masters due to a persistent back injury, ending his 2024 season on a bittersweet note. The world No. 27 made the announcement on Instagram, sharing that he had given every effort to be ready for Paris but ultimately concluded he wasn’t fit to compete.

“After experiencing some pain in my back during Basel, I did some testing and attempts to practice before concluding that I wouldn’t be ready to compete in Paris at the level I’d hope for,” he explained. Auger-Aliassime’s first-round matchup was originally set against American Ben Shelton, with a potential second-round faceoff against ATP world No. 1 Jannik Sinner.

Despite this season-ending setback, Auger-Aliassime remains determined to bounce back stronger next year. He expressed gratitude to his fans, promising to “do everything in my power to recoup mentally and physically for a strong start in 2025.”
