This past year has been one of growth, not only physically but emotionally as well. At times, I felt ashamed of my body, particularly when wearing form-fitting tennis clothes, where my body didn’t match my expectations or the images I compared myself to. Seeing other moms “snap back” after childbirth left me feeling pressured, questioning why my progress wasn’t immediate or dramatic.
As an athlete, I’d expected the weight to drop quickly, especially with daily workouts and a focus on fitness. But real progress turned out to be gradual, requiring a patience that I wasn’t always able to give myself. Some weeks felt like they stretched on with no visible change, which was discouraging. Yet, through all this, I kept going—and kept learning.
The process taught me that all bodies are different, adapting and changing at their own pace. This journey has been a true adventure, one that I’m still embracing every day. My body has adapted beautifully, carrying me through both the challenges and the victories. For that, I’m incredibly grateful.
Looking back, if I had to name this journey, I’d say: “Thank you, body, for all you’ve done, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
