Alexander Zverev continued his impressive 2024 season by advancing to the quarterfinals of the Vienna Open with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 win over Marcos Giron. The victory, achieved in just 73 minutes, marked Zverev’s personal-best tally of wins for a season and maintained his perfect record of reaching the Vienna quarterfinals in each of his four appearances at the event.
Zverev, ranked No. 3 in the world, now faces Lorenzo Musetti in the last eight as he seeks to add another title to his 2024 collection. With a Nitto ATP Finals spot already secured, Zverev aims to build on his consistency, which has seen him reach 14 tour-level quarterfinals this year, joining Jannik Sinner as the only other player to do so.
