On the Tamron Hall Show, Venus Williams expressed her affection for Coco Gauff while talking about the “inspire” part of her recently released book Strive. Following the display of a photo of a young Gauff supporting the American icon at the 2012 US Open, words of gratitude were spoken.
Gauff has frequently declared her love for Venus and Serena Williams. But earlier this year, a fan shared a picture of a young Gauff supporting Venus during her match against Bethanie Mattek-Sands online.
Gauff was fascinated with the picture and expressed gratitude to the fans who discovered it. Venus was asked what she thought of Gauff’s tweet while promoting her recently released book Strive: 8 Steps to Find Your Awesome on the Tamron Hall Show.
The 44-year-old expressed her happiness at Gauff’s rise to fame and her wish for the young star to win each time she performed. The screen also displayed a picture of the two Americans competing together at the French Open in 2021.
Venus talked about it and said: “I mean it’s so exciting to see her just like explode. She is fantastic, and of course, I hope she wins every match. Exactly. And you have to dream. Doesn’t mean that there won’t be all the way of the dream or someday there’s gonna be ups and downs but as long as you have your North Star there are times when you have to figure out how to do it another way. But all that is a part of you have to dream big.”
