Kyrgios beats Stepanek in Wimbledon opener

Nick Kyrgios has a good start in Wimbledon after defeating a dangerous Radek Stepanek in the opener. The Australian had a rough ride against his friend. Nick was leading 6-3 6-4 5-4, and he couldn’t serve out the match; furthermore, Stepanek staved off two match points in the breaker. Eventually, the match went to the 4th set, and the Australian won 6-3, 6-4, 6-7(9), 6-1.

Why I demonstrated I have matured. KYRGIOS

Nick wasn’t really happy after he knew he had to play Radek in the opener, and he confirmed it in the interview. “He knows how to play on grass. He serves well. He volleys well,” Kyrgios said of Stepanek” I couldn’t lapse at all today. Otherwise, I would have got beat.” Talking about his mental strength and how he rebounded after failing to serve out the match in the 3rd set “A couple of years ago if I get broken there, I usually lose the match,” he commented. “That’s just maturity. I’m just glad I got through.”

Next vs. Brown

We are going to have an extremely second round with Kyrgios as the Australian will face Dustin Brown. This will be the first time they play each other, and this is a match not to miss.
