Andy Murray had a rough time back in 2014 when he made it public his support for the Scottish independence before the referendum. Yesterday, the British people voted in favor of the Brexit (i.e. Great Britain leaving the EU), and Andy didn’t want to commit the same mistake.

I haven’t given a thought. MURRAY

Andy commented “I haven’t really given it [Brexit] any thought at all. I’ve had a lot going on this year. I’ve just become a father a few weeks ago. That’s what’s been at the forefront of my thinking this year, rather than anything political.”

The Murray was asked if he regretted giving an opinion about the Scottish independence, and he remained “politically correct” in his reply “I don’t regret giving an opinion. I think everyone should be allowed that. The way I did it, yeah, it wasn’t something I would do again. I think it was a very emotional day for a lot of Scottish people and the whole country and the whole of the UK; it was a big day. The way it was worded, the way I sent it, that’s not really in my character, and I don’t normally do stuff like that.”

Time to focus in Wimbledon now.

Was Murray right not to give an opinion about the Brexit??
