The World Tennis League (WTL) is set to deliver an electrifying third season, running from December 19 to 22 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. This year’s edition boasts a remarkable lineup, featuring Olympic gold medalists, Grand Slam champions, and several top-ranked players across the men’s and women’s circuits. The event, which has quickly gained global attention, promises to be a thrilling spectacle of tennis excellence and entertainment.
Notable players include Women’s World No. 1 Iga Świątek, fresh off her French Open and Olympic Bronze Medal wins, and Aryna Sabalenka, currently ranked No. 2, coming in hot after her US Open triumph. Other top women’s players set to make their mark are Elena Rybakina (No. 4), Jasmine Paolini (No. 5), and Barbora Krejčíková (No. 10), making her much-anticipated WTL debut.
On the men’s side, the roster is equally impressive, with Daniil Medvedev (World No. 5), Andrey Rublev (No. 6), Taylor Fritz (No. 7), and Hubert Hurkacz (No. 8) leading the charge. The competition also welcomes back Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, and crowd favorite Nick Kyrgios, ensuring intense matchups throughout the tournament.
“The greatest show on court” promises not only high-octane tennis but also live music performances, blending sports and entertainment in a unique experience for attendees. Fans can purchase tickets for both concerts and tennis matches, adding to the allure of this prestigious event.
Iga Swiatek in 2024
Ranked world no.1, Iga played her last match on the 4th of September when she was defeated by world no.3 Jessica Pegula 6-2 6-4 in the quarter of the U.S. Open (draw).
This season Swiatek owns a 59-8 win-loss record. Swiatek has won 6 titles in 2024 in Australia, Doha, Indian Wells, Madrid, Rome and French Open.
Swiatek is scheduled to play next in Wuhan (Wuhan Open). She will begin to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 7th of October.
Aryna Sabalenka in 2024
At the moment ranked no.2, Aryna played her last match on the 4th of October when she lost to world no.49 Karolina Muchova 7-6(5) 2-6 6-4 in the quarter in Beijing (draw).
This year Sabalenka owns a 49-12 match record. Aryna has won 3 titles in 2024 at the Australian Open, Cincinnati and U.S. Open. Aryna was the runner-up in Brisbane, Madrid and Rome.
Aryna Sabalenka will compete against the world no.450 Petra Kvitova in the final on Saturday at 6:00 pm on CENTRE COURT. The head to head is 3-2 for Kvitova.

Ranked no.7, Taylor played his last match on the 26th of September when he was defeated by world no.21 Arthur Fils 6-4 3-6 6-3 in the 1st round in Tokyo (draw).
This season Taylor has a 45-19 match record. The American clinched 2 titles in 2024 in Delray Beach and Eastbourne. Fritz was the runner-up in Munich and at the U.S. Open.
