Head attacks anti-doping agency over Sharapova’s case

Maria Sharapova has been served with a two years’ ban for doping, and surprisingly she is now blessed with a staunch defense from Head.

We will continue to support Sharapova

The famous brand wasn’t shy in defending her champion to say that Wada statement is flawed and they “will continue to support Miss Sharapova.”

The statements

The statement reads as follows

“Based upon the evidence provided by Miss Sharapova, Wada and by Dr. Don Catlin, the Chief Science Officer of the Banned Substances Control Group, it appears that the ITF have made their decision based upon a flawed process undertaken by Wada that clearly highlights how Wada have broken their own rules in determining whether or not meldonium should be banned,”

“We believe, based on the facts and circumstances provided to us, that it is a flawed decision. Head will continue to support Miss Sharapova.”
