When it rains, it pours.
Genie Bouchard loses 6-2 6-0 in her first match on grass to the world no.171 Elise Mertens. The Canadian left everyone speechless with this loss; she has been posting pics on her playing on grass for the all week to end up in tears her first match at the Topshelf after just 52 minutes. This is also the second time that Elise has won a WTA match (main draw).
After this contest, Genies has won only 1 of the last seven matches on grass. This is quite odd if you consider that she was the Wimbledon runner-up in 2014.
Dreadful.

Ok. I got over it. Playing on grass for the first time this year made me feel better 😜 pic.twitter.com/OccsknSi57
