Similar events are scheduled for late October, with 500s in Basel and Vienna taking place before the Paris Masters 1000.

While there is still some competition for the final four spots, Medvedev is in excellent shape to qualify. Among the leaders right now are Fritz, Ruud, and Tsitsipas; however, all three suffered losses in this week’s first round. Rublev, who is currently ranked in Turin, plays in Beijing on Friday for his first-round match.
