Daniil Medvedev, known for his entertaining on-court persona, tried a new role at the China Open by practicing drills with the ball kids. The 28-year-old Russian, currently ranked No. 5 in the PIF ATP Rankings, jokingly admitted his height made the task more challenging.
At six-foot-five, Medvedev quipped, “I would not like to receive a ball [from] me.”
During the playful interaction, Medvedev shared that handling the ball kid duties wasn’t as simple as it looked.
“I tried it one time, and I don’t think it’s easy,” he said with a smile, showing his light-hearted nature.
