Coco Gauff Targets Serve Improvement With New Coach

Coco Gauff has set her sights on enhancing her serve under her new coach Matt Daly, following her decision to part ways with Brad Gilbert. After a disappointing U.S. Open campaign that saw her struggle with 19 double faults, Gauff acknowledged her serve as a critical area for improvement.

“When I serve well, I play pretty well. For me, that’s the basis for my game,” Gauff explained. She’s already noticed “drastic improvement” after just a week of working with Daly, focusing on subtle adjustments rather than major overhauls.

Gauff expressed optimism about the partnership, hoping it will strengthen her game for next season.
