Incredible stuff in Boodles as both Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal (the top 2 players in the world) lose their matches in straight sets.
Djokovic vs. Shapovalov
The world no.1 was opposed to Denis Shapovalov that looked to be in good form despite his recent awful run on the tour after he lost 9 of his last 11 matches. Denis Shapovalov came up victorious with a 7-6 (3) 6-4 scoreline with the Serbian definitely not at his best.
Nadal vs. Cilic
During the last few days, Rafa hit the headlines for being unfairly penalized by the Wimbledon algorithm that decides the seeding not following (100%) the official ATP rankings (see article). The Spanish Legend lost to Marin Cilic 6-3 6-3 without giving too much opposition in Hurlingham.

Even if this exhibition is rather “light-hearted” it is still an indication of the form of the players. However, it is worth to notice that Nadal is used to losing his matches in Boodles to then perform well at the Championships.
