Iga Swiatek has reached a remarkable milestone in her career by surpassing Ashleigh Barty in total weeks spent as the World No.1 on the PIF WTA Rankings. Swiatek now holds the No.7 spot on the all-time list with 122 weeks at the top.
Since ascending to the pinnacle of women’s tennis, Swiatek has showcased an incredible level of consistency and dominance, achieving this feat at just 22 years old. Only six players have spent more weeks at No.1 than Swiatek, with legends like Stefanie Graf and Serena Williams leading the pack.
Barty, who retired from tennis in 2022, had her reign at the top for 114 consecutive weeks after a brilliant career that included multiple Grand Slam titles.

Swiatek’s continued success further solidifies her as one of the sport’s top athletes, with her position at the top likely to extend into the foreseeable future. “It’s an honor to be mentioned alongside such great players. I will keep pushing myself to achieve more,” Swiatek said in a recent interview.

Currently ranked no.1, the Pole played her last match on the 4th of September when she surrendered to world no.3 Jessica Pegula 6-2 6-4 in the quarter of the U.S. Open (draw).
This season Iga achieved a composed 59-8 match record. Swiatek clinched 6 titles in 2024 in Australia, Doha, Indian Wells, Madrid, Rome and French Open.
