Rebecca Sramkova set a record by winning her first title at the 2024 Thailand Open Hua Hin, just one week after making it to her first Hologic WTA Tour final in Monastir. At Bogota 2018, the 27-year-old made history as the first Slovak WTA champion since Anna Karolina Schmiedlova.

Sramkova entertained the spectators at the venue with some excellent tennis as she completed the match between the two unseeded finalists in one hour and fifty-six minutes.

Yesterday, Sramkova seemed to be playing better. In the seventh game of the opening set, she broke her opponent’s serve, setting herself up for victory.

Sramkova had to compete in qualifiers in Beijing today after winning her first WTA title in Hua Hin yesterday. That shows her consistency and commitment towards her goals.

On September 24, 2024, Sramkova and Kudermetova will square off in the third round of the Beijing Women’s Singles WTA China Open tournament on hard courts.
