Jannik Sinner has landed in Beijing to defend his China Open title, riding high after a remarkable season that saw him capture two Grand Slam titles and two Masters 1000 crowns.
The world No. 1, fresh off his US Open triumph, reminisced about his success in China last year when he defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals and Daniil Medvedev in the final, marking the start of an exceptional late-season run.
With an impressive 55-5 record in 2024, Sinner is on track to finish the year atop the ATP rankings for the first time in his career. Despite facing some physical challenges and a doping controversy earlier this year, the 23-year-old Italian remains focused, bolstered by recent changes in his team.

He parted ways with Umberto Ferrara and Giacomo Naldi due to the doping case, replacing them with Marco Panichi and Ulises Badio.

Currently, during this season Jannik has managed to achieve a compiled 55-5 win-loss record. The Italian clinched 6 titles in 2024 at the Australian Open, Rotterdam, Miami, Halle, Cincinnati and U.S. Open.
