Day 3 of the 2024 Laver Cup is underway, and after two days of thrilling tennis between Team World and Team Europe, it looks like Team World will win the trophy for a record-breaking third time. Team World is in position to win the three-day event at the Uber Platz in Berlin, Germany, which got underway on September 20. After winning three of the matches on the second day, Team World leads Team Europe 8–4.

The John McEnroe-led side only needs five points to win, and on Day 3, each match is worth three points. Will the first session conclude it, or will spectators be treated to additional tennis action throughout the day? There are two matches planned: one doubles match and one singles match. Should Team World win both of these, the tournament will come to a conclusion. In the event that Team Europe makes a comeback, though, there will likely be a few more games.

Day 3 will start with a doubles match pitting Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe of Team World against Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud of Team Europe. On the first day of play, Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev played doubles and Alcaraz lost against Shelton and Taylor Fritz. It’s interesting to note that Shelton is the only member of his squad to have participated in every doubles match.

This is the order of play.
