Why Kyrgios is fined while Djokovic, Murray are not?

Former Australian Davis Cup captain Wally Masur is convinced that Nick Kyrgios is a victim of unfair treatment.

Wally is uncomfortable for the fact that Kyrgios was fined in Paris (audible obscenity) while other big names are often pardoned.

MASUR. Kyrgios has a target on his back…

The Australian commented “There are a lot of rules in place. I’m always curious though, in tennis, they’re fairly inconsistent. Nick at the moment certainly has a target on his back, and he transgressed and rightfully, so he was fined.”

… why did nobody talk about Murray?

Talking about some other players, Masur added: “I watched Andy Murray the other night, and there were a few audible obscenities there, and I haven’t heard too much about that, so there’s a level of inconsistency.”

… and Djokovic?

Finally, Wally took also Djokovic as an example “You might remember Novak Djokovic actually pushed an umpire’s arm away during the Rome tournament, and there was no sanction for that, so I think obviously the major players drive the game. As long as there’s consistency across the board, all good.”

Do you agree that Kyrgios is unfairly treated?
