Ivo Karlovic is still one of the most intriguing players on tour. At 37 years of age, the Croatian has managed to reach the 3rd round in Paris after defeating Australian Jordan Thompson 6-7(2) 6-3 7-6(3) 6-7(4) 12-10 in 4 hours and 31 minutes. (not a walk in the park).
Ivo is now the oldest man in 25 years to reach the 3rd round of a Slam. The last one was Jimmy Connors that reached the 3rd round of the French Open and the semi at the US Open in 1991 at 38 years of age. Probably Ivo won’t make the semifinal in Paris, but still he has done something exceptional.

Karlovic. It’s unbelievable
Ivo commented “It’s unbelievable because this year I was struggling with the injury, with the knee. So I was out for two months almost.”
Next vs. Murray
Ivo will face Andy Murray in the 3rd round. The head to head is 6-0 for Andy that is the hot favorite to reach the 4th round.
