Andy Roddick has made a striking comparison between Jannik Sinner and Roger Federer, praising the Italian’s poise and confidence. Speaking on the “Served with Andy Roddick” podcast, Roddick described Sinner’s demeanor as “the most relaxed” he has ever seen, akin to Federer’s calm before a Grand Slam final.

Roddick recounted his brief encounter with Sinner, noting the Italian’s composure and presence in the locker room. Despite not knowing many current players due to his absence from tournaments, Roddick was impressed by Sinner’s serene approach and self-assuredness.

“He has this very quiet confidence about the way that he goes about things,” Roddick said. “Even his celebrations are like a relief, and you feel like he was ready to start again an hour after the US Open. That’s a problem for the rest of the world.”

Sinner’s performance at the US Open, which included overcoming a doping controversy, has firmly established him as a formidable player with a mental toughness reminiscent of Federer.
