Elena Rybakina Out Of Next Scheduled Event In Seoul After Mysterious Us Open Injury

Elena Rybakina, World No. 4 and 2022 Wimbledon champion, has withdrawn from the upcoming WTA 500 tournament in Seoul following her sudden exit from the US Open and the shocking split with long-time coach Stefano Vukov. The unexpected developments began during the US Open, where Rybakina abruptly ended her second-round match against Jessika Ponchet, citing “injuries” without specifying further details.

Rybakina had earlier made headlines after parting ways with Vukov, with whom she had a five-year partnership. This raised speculation, especially after Vukov was removed from the official WTA coaches list. Despite being asked about the split in New York, the Kazakh star offered minimal comments, keeping the reasons behind the decision under wraps.

“Unfortunately, I have to withdraw from my match today due to my injuries. I did not want to finish the last Grand Slam of the year this way but I have to listen to my body, and I hope I can close out the remainder of the year strong,” Rybakina stated after pulling out of the US Open.

As Rybakina’s injury and coaching situation remain unclear, it is hoped she will return for the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing, starting September 25th. Fans and tennis insiders alike are eagerly awaiting more clarity on her health and future plans.
