The Italian tennis star faced accusations of double doping just before a major tournament, a situation that could have derailed many athletes. “In the week before the start of the competition, we wondered how the incessant controversy would affect him,” Nadal said. “But after his magnificent performance, Jannik has shown not only his skill but also his ability to handle complicated situations.
