Elina Svitolina’s 2024 season has come to an early end due to injury, marking the second consecutive year she has finished her season post-US Open. Despite a challenging year plagued by injuries, Svitolina remains positive about her performance.
In a recent statement, she reflected on her season: “I had a good season, I already finished it because I got injured. To finish this year in the top 30 is a good result, considering that I was injured more [of the time] this season.” She added, “The Olympics went well. Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring home a medal, but there were great victories.”
Svitolina expressed disappointment about not playing at her peak due to her injuries: “Did I manage to approach the Games at the peak of my form, given the injury? No, I didn’t manage to do so at the peak.”
Looking forward, she hopes for a healthier 2025 season, aiming for a full recovery and a stronger performance: “I hope that I can start my next season better.”
