Highland Park is getting ready for the winter grand launch of its brand-new dome-style pickleball and padel court. Club Pickle and Padel is a brand-new facility that aims to be a year-round refuge for sports fans, providing a contemporary and welcoming atmosphere for players of all ages and ability levels.

Ten pickleball courts and four padel courts will be included within the 50,000 square foot facility. It is intended to offer a friendly environment where locals can congregate, compete, and learn. It was designed with the community in mind. After serving the community for fifteen years, the previous building was replaced with the dome, guaranteeing that the new facility satisfies modern standards and expectations.

The emphasis Club Pickle and Padel place on delivering a remarkable gaming experience is one of their best features. Thoughtful elements like the best court layouts, vivid colors, and cutting-edge lighting are all included in the design, which enhances the playing experience. To ensure everyone’s convenience, the facility will also feature restrooms, a gear and refreshment sales area, and a greeting area.

With a $4.2 million budget, the community has generously contributed to the project. Ron Saslow, a native of Highland Park, has contributed a generous $2 million. The Parks Foundation of Highland Park, sponsors, individual and corporate donations, and the park district itself have also contributed money.

The park department has named seasoned pickleball instructor Zach Pellowski as the head pro at Club Pickle and Padel, just as the opening day draws near. Having worked as the head pickleball pro at Danny Cunniff Park and Deer Creek Racquet Club, Pellowski brings a plethora of experience and energy to the position.

As a hub for pickleball and padel in Highland Park, Club Pickle and Padel aims to encourage active lives and a sense of community. The facility, with its state-of-the-art features and welcoming attitude, is set to become a well-liked hangout for experienced athletes as well as beginners keen to try these rapidly expanding sports.
