Stan Wawrinka didn’t have the easiest opener at the French Open. The defending champion had to edge an in-form Lukas Rosol in the first round to win 4-6 6-1 3-6 6-3 6-4 after 3 hours and 11 minutes.

Stan acknowledged it was a tricky match to comment “Really tough match today/ He was playing really well. He was going for his shot. He didn’t miss much until he started to get a little bit tired in the fourth set and fifth. But before that, I was always under pressure.”
