Coco Gauff has expressed her support for Angel Reese following the rookie star’s season-ending wrist injury. The injury, sustained during the Chicago Sky’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks on September 6, has unfortunately ended Reese’s impressive rookie season prematurely.
Reese took to X to reflect on her season, saying, “What a year. I never would have imagined the last bucket of my rookie season would be a 3 but maybe that was God saying give them a taste of what they will be seeing more of in Year 2 lol.” She continued, “Through it all, I have showed that I belong in this league even when no one else believed.”
In her Instagram response, Gauff shared a simple but heartfelt message, stating, “so proud of you.”
