Following his victory over Jack Draper in the US Open semifinal, Jannik Sinner was seen chatting with his girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya in the gym. Amidst concerns about an injury sustained during the match, the Italian player was also applying ice to his wrist.
On Friday, at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, Sinner took on Draper in the US Open semifinal. The Italian entered the New York Major fresh off an impressive victory at the Cincinnati Open, while the British had not dropped a set throughout the competition.
In the opening set, Sinner broke Draper to lead 4-3 after the competitors held serve until 3-3. The world No. 1 vitally earned a break at 5-5 to close to set on his serve, but the Brit answered right away to make it 4-4.
When the score was 2-2 in the third set, Sinner showed his strength by winning four straight games. He went on to win 7-5, 7-6(3), 6-2, and reach his first US Open final.
The Italian was then seen cooling off in the gym with his team, which included Kalinskaya, his girlfriend, standing next to him. Sinner was cooling his wrist while the pair talked to each other.
