Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas, currently ranked No. 11 in the ATP rankings, has taken a well-deserved break in Madeira, Portugal. Known for his impressive tennis career, the 26-year-old is soaking in the beauty of the island while staying in Funchal with a large group of friends and family.
Tsitsipas, who reached a career-high No. 3 in the world, has achieved significant success on the ATP Tour, including 10 titles and 17 finals appearances. He made history as the youngest winner of the 2019 ATP Finals in 18 years, further establishing himself as Greece’s top tennis player.
The vacation in Madeira comes after a demanding season, giving the athlete some time to recharge before his upcoming challenges on the court. Tsitsipas is also using the opportunity to explore the island’s culture, scenery, and cuisine.
“I’ve always loved discovering new places and Madeira offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure,” Tsitsipas mentioned in a recent social media post.
With the holiday break, Tsitsipas hopes to return stronger and ready for the next phase of his tennis journey. Fans are eagerly awaiting his return to competition, knowing the Greek star’s passion and determination will continue to drive him toward more victories.

Ranked no.11, the Greek played his last match on the 27th of August when he lost to world no.86 Thanasi Kokkinakis 7-6(5) 4-6 6-3 7-5 in the 1st round of the U.S. Open (draw).
At present, during this year Tsitsipas owns a compiled 36-17 record. Stefanos clinched 1 title in Monte-Carlo. The Greek got to the final in Barcelona.
