Iga Swiatek recently revealed her excitement and joy after being approached by tennis legend Serena Williams during the US Open. Ahead of her third-round match, Swiatek had a memorable encounter with Williams, who offered words of encouragement to the rising star.
Swiatek, the current World No. 1, was thrilled to learn that Williams is not only following tennis but also cheering for her. Reflecting on the interaction, Swiatek shared, “She’s really nice and really positive, and I’m happy that she’s following, you know, tennis and my game, cause she told me she’s cheering for me, and it’s always nice to hear that, from somebody like Serena.”

Iga Swiatek will fight against the world no.16 Ludmilla Samsonova in the 4th round on Monday at 7:00 pm on Arthur Ashe Stadium. Their current head to head is 3-0 for Swiatek.
