Tomas Berdych is not having a great season; the Czech has just reached two semifinals and he couldn’t get over the humiliation he had in Rome where he lost 6-0 6-0 to David Goffin.
Tomas thought that it was time to quickly part ways from his coach Daniel Vallverdu and he did it in a rather rough way.
Berdych. I had to act quickly.
Tomas explained his decision in a communicate that was posted on facebook. “My results lately have not been what I expected. As I am not a tennis player at the beginning of his career I have to act quickly when I feel that I need a change.” Berdych said. “Tomáš is today on his way to Paris where he will be preparing for the second Grandslam of the season and he has not decided who his new coach will be as yet.” Not even a thank you to Daniel.
Berdych is now ranked no.8 and he has a 19-9 win-loss record in the season. Is Lendl still a possible option?
“I’ve enjoyed working with Tomas and the challenge to help him achieve his professional goals.

However we have decided not to continue with our working relationship. I wish Tomas all the best moving forward.”
