Daniil Medvedev played against Dusan Lajovic in the 1st round of the U.S. Open on Tuesday when he won 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-1. Medvedev struck this stunning around the net return in the 1st set.

At the moment ranked no.5, Medvedev played his last match on the 27th of August when he defeated world no.66 Dusan Lajovic 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-1 in the 1st round of the U.S. Open (draw).
Presently, during this year the Russian has achieved a 36-13 record. Daniil Medvedev’s best achievement of the present year was getting to the final at the Australian Open and Indian Wells.
Daniil Medvedev will compete against the world no.51 Fabian Marozsan in the 2nd round. They have never competed against each other up to now in top competitions.
Daniil reached the final at the Australian Open and in Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open).
