Ranked world no.5, Daniil played his last match on the 27^th of August when he defeated world no.66 Dusan Lajovic 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-1 in the 1^st round of the U.S. Open (draw).

During this season Daniil achieved a 36-13 match record. Daniil Medvedev’s most significant achievement of the year was getting to the final at the Australian Open and Indian Wells.
