Isner and Monaco to clash in the Houston final – 2012 ATP US Men’s Clay Court Championship

I took more than 2 and half hours (and 13 aces)  for the American giant to defeat Feliciano Lopez.

The match was not very easy for he American that looked also a bit sluggish. 
‘I certainly wasn’t feeling my best, at times, out there,’ Isner said. ‘It’s fortunate for me that I can get through matches, not playing my best, feeling my best, because of my serve. Very lucky to have that on my side.’

Doing an analisys about the reason of his own fitness ‘I’ve just played a lot of tennis,’ Isner said. ‘I’ve been kind of going a lot, but I know that win or lose [final], I’ll sort of be able to rest and recover.’ 

Feliciano was not so happy and he mantains that the topical moment was ‘In the third set, I made a few mistakes with my serve, and that was it,’ Lopez said.
 

John will play Monaco in the final. 
Pico defeated Russell, but it was not easy either. The American had 2 surprising victories over Fish  and Harrison and he managed to win the opening set with Monaco 7-5. So the feeling was good. But then he started to crumble in he second set to lose it at 1. Then Monaco managed to win the decider 6-4.
