Besides being one of the most interesting upcoming players on tour, Dominic Thiem is hitting the headlines also for his incredible sportsmanship.

What happened?

Dominic was fighting a rough battle against Dolgopolov in the Rome 1st round. The match was on a 3-all score line in the decider; Dolgopolov blasted a shot that hit the line, but it was wrongly called out. The umpire reversed the decision to ask to repeat the point, but Thiem conceded that he missed the ball not because the call was wrong, but because he did a mistake that wasn’t influenced by that call. Therefore, the point was not replayed, but it was awarded to Dolgopolov.

This is not the first time that Thiem showed his incredible sportsmanship. This year, he was playing in Melbourne against Goffin when the Belgian hit a ball that was wrongly called out. The umpire ordered to replay the point, but Thiem conceded the point to his opponent.

This is what we like to see on a tennis court.
