Roger Federer will have an entertaining opener in Rome against the “#nextgen” Alexander Zverev. The young German dismissed Grigor Dimitrov in the 1st round 6-1 6-4, and he is becoming more and more solid to be a real threat to Roger Federer.
Roger had an extremely complicated draw to play Zverev and then (probably) Thiem, Nishikori, and Djokovic. Federer needs to win this tournament to try to hold to his world no.2 rank; he was the 2015 runner-up.
