Tsitsipas calls her girlfriend Badosa as ‘Novak Djokovic of women tennis’

Stefanos Tsitsipas disclosed during this quick-fire round that he would like his girlfriend's returns to be a component of her strategy. Tsitsipas likened Paula Badosa to Novak Djokovic regarding her comeback.

Paula Badosa finally reveals her true self after battling injuries for the previous two years. In just two weeks, the Spaniard advanced to the Cincinnati Masters 1000 finals and won the Citi Open 2024 in Washington, DC.

Of all the accolades given to Badosa, her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas’s description of her as the ‘Novak Djokovic of women’s tennis’ has to be the highest.

A week before the Grand Slam, the power couple teamed up for the US Open Mixed Madness exhibition event. Tsitsipas and Badosa, who are teammates, took part in a lighthearted interview with social media video creator @sohobrody.

The Greek national stated that he would like his partner’s returns to be a part of his game during this rapid-fire section. Tsitsipas compared Badosa to Djokovic when speaking about her comeback.

The interviewer asked: “One aspect of her game that you would most want to add to yours?”

Tsitsipas replied: “Returns.”

The interviewer then asked: “Think you return better than him?”

Badosa said: “Yeah, of course (laughs).”

Tsitsipas replied: “I would compare her to the Novak Djokovic of women’s tennis.”
