Stefanos Tsitsipas has enlisted the help of Greece’s Davis Cup captain, Dimitris Chatzinikolaou, for the upcoming US Open after parting ways with his father as a coach. The world No. 11 will work alongside Chatzinikolaou during this week, and their collaboration is likely to continue beyond the Grand Slam event.
Chatzinikolaou, who heads up Greece’s Davis Cup team, has previously worked with Tsitsipas. Their partnership offers stability to the young tennis star after a turbulent week, during which Tsitsipas publicly criticized his father’s coaching approach. Now, with Chatzinikolaou by his side, Tsitsipas aims to perform at his best in the upcoming US Open.

Currently ranked no.11, the Greek played his last match on the 15th of August when he was overcome by world no.25 Jack Draper 3-6 6-4 7-5 in the 2nd round in Cincinnati (draw).
